The weather afforded us another chance to attempt a summit, this time the lesser-known Torre di Sant'Orso on the eastern side of the valley.

Cogne: Gran Paradiso (almost)

Gran Paradiso was the aim for peak number 3, however the weather was set firmly against us and so in the end, it wasn't to be.

Cogne: Punta Rossa (Pointe Rouse)

The second summit we climbed whilst in Cogne was the Punta Rossa, which at 3630m is one of the highest Alpine summits you can reach just by walking.

Cogne: Gran Sertz (Grand Serre)
